The freedom of hopelessness

Hope is a shell. It is hollow. It is wishful thinking at best, and self-denial at worst.
When you let go of hope, you open yourself to the forces of will, trust, faith, and intention. You are no longer at anything or anyone else's mercy. You are guided by the spirit, and receive the mysteries of power. When you surrender to not knowing and let go of self-importance, you experience true freedom.

  1. I really like this, thank you for your post. Reading the term self importance reminded me of all the Casteneda books I read. Loved how you put it - letting go of hope opens yourself to the forces of will, trust, faith and intention. There is much more to what you wrote than meets the eye. It can take 5 minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master. That said it is our choice -it is available to us - at any given moment to experience true freedom, when we surrender to not knowing, as you say, and when we let go of self importance. Oddly, I was reflecting on the exact same thing today. The words in my mind were letting go of wanting rather than hope, but they were simply words. The intention behind the words or thoughts in my mind were precisely what you have so perfectly described here.
