Searching for God in the Strangest Places
***
Part one
Searching for god in all the strangest places:
Hearing my radio blowing out telling me I need to get a new one so i can hear my tunes from my current status of Shreationhood...
Hmmmm... :)
Sounds fancy, dark red, and shiny.
The rattly glass-covered porch table and my old CD player from like 8th grade sitting on it,
covered in CD materials from times before my existence.
Yeah.
I'm listening to old music that I never heard before and totally resonates with a part of my soul.
Man. The shit they went through in the 70s and 80s was rough. As. Fuck.
Do yall remember? It was only like 30-40 years ago
Wait, think about that for a moment.
30 years ago, in the 80s, Ronald Reagan was president and Nancy Reagan signed on for the War on Drugs. This was the 80s, man. Rock n' roll.
But they used a very clever device: fear, shame and disgust. They exploited the worst out of man (or woman) herself.
They got the American man and woman to sign onto their idea that drugs were bad and to be avoided. They practically demolished everything that had been achieved in the 50s and 60s. (On the outside.) Remember the revolution, anyone?
We all remember the Grateful Dead, right? Jerry Garcia?
Mr. Garcia himself was used in a way too effective plan to distract people from the really important stuff.
The idea was the drugs, sex and rock n' roll should be put down, should be avoided, and eventually, people took it so underground that even talking about this stuff became shameful no nos.
The hippies didn't go away, though. Mr. and Mrs. Reagan used the American people make it way, way harder for them. It continues to this day. Look at the occupy movement. Look at Bernie Sanders. Now we are just making fools out of us.
If drugs were legal in the United States, things wouldn't be that different. At first.
And then slowly, slowly, markets would start to slow down, because the demand would suffer since people would just get the drugs for free from the pharmaceutical companies, which no doubt would be selling the drugs once they had license to distribute them (since they are companies). Which is what is already happening. It's funny how they basically bypass all of the laws that non-legally-sanctioned markets are being subjected to. Seems kinda biased.
In fact, it's keeping us from having a free market. You wanna talk about capitalism? This current model of healthcare is the most un-free market of any of its kind. I would LOVE to see a truly free market. We've never really seen it, because markets in the United States, since the days of the British, have ALWAYS been regulated, except perhaps for a brief period of honeymoon at the beginning of the independant state of America. But we cannot even call it a free market, for there were men and woman and children who were slaves and who were serving our whole country their entire lives.
think about that. And now our population is wondering why it has all the problems it has. Look at the history.
If we look at history we will see all the things which have happened, and may have happened, and definitely didn't happen, and we can see what we need to do moving forward. But if we don't know, if we aren't educated, how can we ever know moving forward, and what keeps us from making the same mistakes we made before?
This place has merged and integrated so many ideas, so many fantastic and brilliant energies together into one emerging whole, a new land, a new earth, a new tribe.
some have talked of the rainbow tribe, warriors of the rainbow, but this is a different tribe, a larger one, more all-encompassing. it is a diamond tribe, the people of earth united as one. it is the ultimate outcome. perhaps it the outcome of the warriors of the rainbow's actions, combined with the actions of all those around them. The ripple affect that leads outward into a glorious and humanized society. A world of real super humans who are all super simply human. The emerging self.

Part 2
There is something powerful about our land.
It speaks. If you listen. You have to get real quiet, and sit back and let the voice of Nature speak.
We need to be able to listen to hear the voice of Nature and allow the earth's messages to enter our lives. Or listen to God if that is your faith. Listen for God in everything you do, in everyone you speak to. Listen for God in the waitress at the cafe, listen for God and surrender to the guidance you are receiving.
God can communicate anywhere. God is in everything, is everywhere. God is in the deepest depths of the sea and the highest pockets of the sky. God is in every molecule, every living thing on earth. God is in each of these particles because God made each of these particles. And continues to.
God is making the world as we speak. And we are being invited on a divine quest to make our world in concert with God. As a whole, total dream of reality.
The earth communicates through devas of nature, spirits of the land which live in our homes and surrounding land. Devas can be water fairies, fire sprites, wind pixies, earth nymphs...the list goes on. it's endless. Devas are so, so location-specific. The more you find a power place and you can tap into its power, the more power that place will lend to you. it really all depends on what you want from a place. what energy do you desire more of in your life.
Fire spirits really like fiery, delicious things. They basically eat them. I have a theory that this is why moths fly into the fire. They truly desire to be consumed by the flame.
Have you ever seen the way they just glide down, down, through the fire and never once flinch, flee, or try to recoil from the flame?
They DIVE. They swoop. They dance with passion into the flames.
Speaking for the fire, Moths must be delicious. I sure do think they're beautiful.

The Summer Camp Chronicles: Moon-Child
I worked at a summer camp last year as a counselor for girls. Last year on this day happened to be an arrival day. It also happened to be my birthday. As is today.
I worked in a camp an hour north of Philadelphia in eastern Pennsylvania. You'd think "Camp Laughing Waters" would be running with brooks and sweet meadows, but not really. A hot, hot place, long fields of stripped forest turned into open space, which destroyed its natural protective barriers from the heat.
In the first week of my having actual kids under my care, there was a little girl who cried a lot missing her mom. She had a cute, smooth chubby face and curly shiny locks. Her eyes were deep blue, especially when she was crying.
When I first got to camp, I realized I was probably the most sensitive person there, along with a couple others who were more recently integrated into depressing mainstream society. In a way this was my integration, because I was someone who just avoided it like the plague, with good reason. I was the moon-child.
When I met that little girl, it was like, something in my heart softened, and I knew what to do. The other counselors, God bless them, really had no idea how to handle kids' emotions for the most part. This little girl was crying and the other counselors were trying to distract her and make her feel better. Well, if there's anything I know about feelings, it's that we need to face them head on and give ourselves a mode of action in order to feel strength and empowerment, to raise our vibration.
It was night, I walked beside her on the dark path, our flashlights illuminating the way in blue light. We walked up the curving hill and found ourselves looking at the moon. I let her cry. Then I told her this.
The moon can hear you. You can ask the moon to tell your mother that you miss her.
The little child's eyes went clear, her face sober and determined. She looked up at the moon, and said in a steady, sincere voice,
"I know this is impossible, but if you could, please, let my mother know I miss her and, somehow, if it would be possible, let her know I need her and that I need her to take me home."
I looked at her. "Okay?"
She nodded. So much maturity filled her eyes than just moments before because she had been given a tool to empower herself. She no longer felt helpless. She felt helped.
Her mom never came, but I do wonder if she heard that call that night, stirred a little in her bed as the moonlight glided through her open window. Her mother was a story writer, just like myself. I like to think that she had the sense to be tapped in to the moon that way. I think perhaps that's the reason her daughter was open to it. She was already touched by magic.
I feel for and understand kids who don't feel supported by the rules of the system and the authority figures in it so much because I was one of those kids. We are just more sensitive, more alert to the realities of life and the movements of nature. We are the ones who cry when the energy is off. We tell you when something needs to be changed for everyone's benefit. Because we can feel it all.

We need to embrace the self and at the same time retreat from the self.
When you become aware of what you truly are, you can no longer ignore or tolerate inside of you what you know you are not, and so this paradox must be face head on, every day, every moment, for the rest of our lives.
It becomes clearer when we understand that there is a self, and there is the Self. A self is a false concept of individuality, separation and differences. It sees only what is outside itself, never able to look within.
The Self is the Brahma, the Eternal Life that lives within each and every one of us, that lives inside every rock, flower, tree, cloud, animal, inside every speck of invisible dust. The Self is Love; the Self is God. The Self is always present while a self is rarely if ever present. You are not your self - you are the Self.
Many people in our society think that focusing on yourself is the epitome of selfishness, while at the same time they are completely focused on their false selves almost every moment of the day. This is because they are confused, they don't understand that there is a deeper Self inside of us, something that is always there but is not seen because of our beliefs. They see God as something outside of themselves, yet every moment it is as if they are waiting for Him to come down out of the heavens and place a magical jewel inside of their hearts.
What they fail to realize is that that magical jewel is already inside of them, that God placed it there long ago, when nothing was, when everything was. The Vampire inside of our minds, our false selves, wants us to remain in the belief that we are not complete, that we are not perfect and whole. Because it desires to badly to be loved, it does not love itself. But the beauty is that all of this exists solely in the mind, that it is not real and it never was and never will be. It was simply a dream.
When you realize you are in a dream, and you realize you aren't enjoying the dream as much as you thought you were, you can wake up from the dream. This doesn't mean you aren't dreaming anymore. It just means you are dreaming a different dream.
Many people become paranoid when they realize they are living in a world of illusion. They become frightened and worried that something is controlling their minds.
The Vampire loves this, it feeds off of these feelings, and only when you stop giving it control will it stop controlling you.
You are Infinite Eternal Presence. You do not need anything or anyone. You don't need that comfort, that familiarity, that false concept of love. You are Love.
Illusion is beautiful; it simply is whatever you are dreaming. This society will have you believing that it is evil, that it is bad. But it is neither bad nor good. It just is. It simply is not true, and that is all there is to it. If you remember that what is true is that you are Life, Love, and Light, if you really remember, nothing can touch you or hurt you ever again. And your eyes will see clearly, beyond the illusion. The illusion is simply there to challenge us, because we have free will. Nothing is definite in this universe, not even the Infinite and Eternal. Everything is constantly changing, and that is why it is so important for us to let go of our beliefs. Our beliefs about ourselves, about other people, about everything. They aren't true.
One of my biggest weaknesses is being afraid to admit that I have weaknesses, although at the same time I'm remarkably transparent, to those who can See. I'm learning to sit with my Self and let myself Be - to let everything be exactly as it is, all of my pain, my thoughts, my ideas, and just let them go. It sounds so simple but it takes lifetimes to attain. May Peace, Vision, and Understanding be with you always.
